The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg
The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg is an art museum on the downtown waterfront that opened in 1965 as the city's first art museum, founded by Margaret Acheson Stuart. Its encyclopedic collection holds more than 20,000 works spanning about 5,000 years, from antiquities to contemporary art and photography. The museum also presents rotating exhibitions, public programs and youth initiatives, including partnerships with Pinellas County Schools.
