YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg Summer Day Camp - Downtown

Ten themed weeks of day camp for ages 5 to 12 (five-year-olds must have finished kindergarten), running early June through early August. Days combine reading and project-based learning meant to prevent summer learning loss with STEM activities, gym time, arts and crafts, and swimming at least once a week, and field trips are included in the fee. Camp is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is held at the Y's Bardmoor, Jim & Heather Gills and Speer branches; lunch is provided at Gills and packed at the other sites. Online registration opens in early February with a one-time registration fee and member discounts, and the Send a Kid to Camp fund helps families who need assistance.
