A two-week summer program at the Plant City Family YMCA for 13- and 14-year-olds who want to build strong water skills and learn the basics of lifeguarding, rescue and safety around the pool before they are old enough to certify.
Junior Lifeguard Camp runs as a two-week block during the Plant City Y's summer season. Young teens spend time in the pool building stamina and stroke technique and learn how lifeguards spot and respond to trouble in the water.
A separate deposit holds a place for each two-week session, and YMCA members pay less than non-members.
