A two-week aquatics leadership camp for 14- and 15-year-olds at the Bob Gilbertson Central City Family YMCA in Tampa Heights. Teens learn introductory skills for working in an aquatic environment, build leadership, earn volunteer hours and take American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications.
Junior Lifeguard Camp is one of the Tampa YMCA's teen summer camps and runs in two-week sessions on set weeks of the summer. Campers help support the aquatics programme while working toward their Red Cross certifications.
YMCA members pay a lower session rate than non-members.
