Summer day camp at the Bob Sierra YMCA Youth & Family Center on Ragg Road in northwest Tampa, open to kids from age 6 through 12 with teen tracks up to 15. Weekly options include the signature camp plus swim, art, basketball, soccer, volleyball and gymnastics camps, an outdoors-focused Outpost camp, and junior teen, junior lifeguard and counselor-in-training programs. Ten weeks from June to August, booked online by the week.
Camp Sierra is the Tampa Y's youth center campus, home to a 12,000-square-foot gymnastics facility that powers its daily gymnastics camp. Sports weeks rotate through basketball, soccer and volleyball, and the Outpost camp for ages 8 to 12 leans toward outdoor skills.
Older kids can step into the junior teen camp at 13 and 14 or the four-week counselor-in-training program at 14 and 15. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no-cost supervision from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
