An outdoor summer day camp on a 65-acre lakefront property on Balm Riverview Road in Riverview for ages 5 to 13, with teen and counselor-in-training tracks up to 15. Along with the signature camp, kids can pick horse, lakefront, outpost, art, drama, swim team or swim-lessons weeks, add climbing tower or riding sessions, and ride a bus from South Tampa. Ten weeks, June to August.
Camp Cristina is the Tampa Y's dedicated camp property. Horse camp for ages 8 to 13 runs every week of summer, the lakefront camp centers on the water, and the Outpost and Junior Outpost camps focus on outdoor skills for different age groups. Art and drama weeks alternate through the season.
Optional add-ons include morning horseback riding, a climbing tower and ropes sessions before or after camp, and a Thursday evening luau. A South Tampa bus leaves at 7:45 a.m. and returns at 5:15 p.m. for an extra weekly fee.
